11 Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first[a] and will restore all things.12 But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.† Jesus would suffer the same rejection. They would not receive Him.
Â
So they rejected the notion that Elijah had appeared and they were also in the same way going to reject Christ’s appearing too. And this is the point. Because Elijah did not appear in the way they wanted him to, they rejected him. They did not see him with carnal eyes “Oh look there’s Elijah!”, but he had come, just not like they wanted him to. So too with Christ. Does He have to come to our carnal senses to receive Him? Â
So it is now. People silence any notion that Christ appears in all Glory and power by ascribing that event to a future kingdom that follows the earthly events of a 7 year tribulation. But in killing the testimony of Christ appearing in His Kingdom they don’t kill Him but themselves. They keep themselves in their dead Adamic nature of un-belief. “Be it done according to your faith-lessness, and wait 2000 plus years if you must. But the word says…
Â
Mt 24.44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”Â
48 But if the evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,... and they do.
It is these people who think the coming of the Lord as a second coming a physical event on planet earth to reign here as a man, that He has delayed His coming. But who is it who stands at the door and knocks? (Rev 3.20). But some say “my master delays His coming and they don’t answer Him? They do not receive the Kingdom of God that “cometh not with (carnal) observation”, (Luke 17.22) Christs Kingdom that is not of this age.Â
Â
Even at His first appearing the first words out of His mouth was “the Kingdom of God is at hand”. Meaning; It is right here right now! And we reject that today and say no that’s at the second coming. Naw, that can’t be. I  guess Jesus misread the script. Well how else can an invisible God appear? A man? Who made who? Who is the image and who is the original? The original was not a man. And all that is visible was created and He is not that. So how do you expect Him to come?
Â
The Lord doesn’t delay His coming for it is happening even now. It is you who delay your awakening. It is the human heart and mind that wants to see Him carnally to believe His coming. Didn’t those in Sodom want to know Him carnally? “Bring them out that we may know them”? Let us see? But the patriarchs and prophets knew Him through dreams and visions and as it was said of Samuel that the Lord revealed Himself by His word. But today He has a first and second coming and they are visual to the carnal eye? This is spiritual blindness.  Didn’t Christ say “He who has seen me has seen the Father”? So does the Father have long hair a beard and wearing a fitted sheet? Is that what Jesus meant? Is that what the father wears?
Â
We need to set aside the notion that there are only first and second comings of our Lord. For How can He stand at the door and knock if He did not come? How did Isaiah see the Lord High and lifted up if He did not come? Jesus said “Abraham rejoiced to see My day, he saw it and was glad”. But we have to wait? Why did Abraham see it and we can’t? Because a lack of faith.Â
Â
How can we love His appearing if we do not experience it? We can experience Him now as He is in His natural invisible construct as He was before all of creation for nothing else is Him.  If you do not receive Him like this you receive nothing at all, for everything else has an end. But He is eternal, hence the gift of eternal life is Him and only Him. All such notions of a man called Jesus becoming a King on earth in a place with an address in Jerusalem are nonsense to the mind of the spirit. Those are constructs of the carnal mind that knows not God. Having a form of godliness but denying the power. Lord have mercy on us.Â
Â
To Him who was and is and is to come… What part of Him are you willing to receive? Him who said “I change not”, Heb 13.8 Jesus the same yesterday today and forever”. It is we who must change our way of thinking by the directive of His spirit. Do not be like the wicked servant who said “My Lord delays His coming, (meaning second coming) and miss out on the greater reality of who He is right now and who we are in Him. What do you think is at a second coming that you don’t have now? It is now to the mind who has faith and ears to hear.Â
Â
Mt 16.28, Mk 9.1, Luke 9.27 speaks of those who would not die before they “see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom”, “see the Kingdom of God present with power”, and “the Kingdom of God”. But some how today this is a one time event to be later seen. But they saw it in their day. Can you see it? Do you now believe?
Â
How can you participate in something you do not believe? The word said so. Hath God really said? Who are we listening to?
Â
When people say in their hearts that the Lord delays His coming, thinking it is visual for their carnality, they become closed minded to the fact that He who is invisible can appear anytime He wants. They are disconnected from the Head in whom the whole body is to be joined to. They are asleep to Him who comes as He truly is.
Â
To some He is a baby in a manger, but even that baby was “born King” and did not have to become one. It is their understanding that is a baby. To some Christ is still on the cross. They are still in their sins apologizing and confessing. To others the tomb is empty, and so are they being left with the how, the where and the when. But there are those who see Him ascended in full Glory and Power, from where He came. He became a man for us but He did not un-become who He was but He took on the form of a man for us to follow that where He is we may be also. To where?Â
Â
And Christ prayed “Father if there is any other way?” And having expired the law and the prophets Jesus became the “new and living way” The “No one comes to the Father but through Me” And “Lo I have come in the volume of the book, it is written of Me”. For all the law and the prophets did this one thing, they spoke of the day of “the Lord” and Jesus is that Day that has no night or darkness. The day that is not a 24 hour cycle, the “new day”, “till the day dawns and the Morning star rises in your hearts”. “Jesus is the bright and Morning Star” for you the entry into “that day” is to be “In HIM” . Abraham saw “His day” and was glad as all the profits spoke of “His day” and that day is. It just is. It has always been and will always be for it is eternal having no beginning or end like the ones who live there. And it is this day that we enter His rest from this creation. This day “finished from the foundations of the world”. Where the father rested from creation. Not our day or our creation but God, the “day of the Lord” Coming in great power and Glory. The disciples saw “that day” too and it was of “That day” that Christ was trying to give them when He said “the Kingdom of God is at hand” and it was “that day” when they saw Him transformed when the Father said “This is My Beloved Son, Him you shall hear” Not a baby Christ, or a Christ on the cross, or a resurrected Christ, but the One who said “Go tell the disciples that I have ascended to my God and your God, to My Father and your Father.”  Hear  this one!  “Today! if you will hear His voice”. And do we? Naw, we’ll wait for His second coming.
Â
So here is where we are today. We have a bunch of sick folk sitting in churches waiting for the moving of the waters. The truncated gospel is ineffectual for change. They cannot wake up from this slumber to see Him who stands ready to save. There is no transformation in the carnal teachings that Christ will deliver us from this wicked world later at a second coming. They are in limbo not knowing Gods word or power. They do not see him who said “I will never leave you or forsake you” for He has to come back. And as He said ” Lo I am with you always” for He must come again. And “I will not leave you orphans”. Many are like a 6 year old child sitting on a curb waiting for the dead beat dad to pick him up on his visitation weekend. Even that dad wouldn’t stand up the child for 2000 years, but some how a faithful God would? Not my God. We sup often. Sometimes 3 plus times a day.
Â
The “Kingdom to come” is the Kingdom at hand” In 1st John he spoke of that which was from the beginning that we heard and have seen. This is the gospel. Not “that which is at the end” like a second coming
Â
The Kingdom of God is at hand. It really is.
