1 John 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God![a] Therefore the world does not know us,[b] because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure”.

Now we are His children, not of a carnal nature which is why “the world does not know us”. For as it neither sees, or knows Him, we being in Him, or “in Christ” are like Him now. This is why the world cannot see us. They see our man but that is not us in Gods eye. “for even the angels in heaven see the face of the Father in these little ones. Carnal man cannot.

So when we see Him as He is, we shall be like Him. Well when does this Happen? At the illusive 2nd coming? If the world does not know us as scripture just said, what is this “us” they do not know?. I mean I go to work, I shop and get gas. I have neighbors and friends but “the world does not know us?

That is right. That part of us that is new is like Him and the world cannot see Him and that part of us that is like Him is also unseen by them because we are “a new creation”, and this “new creation” is what we put on when we see Him. And just as the world does not see Him so they cannot become Him, we do see Him, and to the degree that we do see Him, not with carnal eyes, we having eyes to see and ears to hear, these are gifts and components of the “new creation” not being flesh and bone of our Adamic nature. His gift to us is Himself, this is what we become.

It is the Adamic nature that wants to see Him in bodily form. The one who was on the cross, they would like to put their fingers in the nail prints, then they will believe for “they think they will see Him as He is, but that is a false Jesus. So you who have that silly notion? This is not for you. For if you say that you see Him and you see that, your sin will remain. Not the sins of the product of your man, but the sin of unbelief. That is the parent sin.

1st John 3.  6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins (un-believes) has neither seen Him nor known Him.

And we see Him even now in this age as He is but not with our man. He is now in His Glorified true state of eternal existence, the same yesterday, today and forever. He is not of the Adamic nature of the dust of the earth. “For the Lord is not a man that He should relent”. And we see Him how? With our physical eyes? No! This is for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear even us whom the world cannot see.

John 14. And Philip said “Lord show us the father and that will be sufficient for us”. Jesus said ” Have I been with you this long and you still do not know me? He who has seen me has seen the Father”.

And this is not a physicality like a winged creature or an orb or a visible light. No, much more than that. But we have to stop trying to see Him with our carnal senses. It is the mind of unbelief that needs proof in the world, but scripture says “Whom the world does not know”. So then as Paul prayed in Ephesians 1.18 “that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened”. This is how we know Him and see Him.

So for us to see Him as He is does not take place at some second coming of Christ when the body is dead for if you are “in Him’, that already happened by faith at baptism.

1st John 3.3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

This purification is not a religious edict that creates monks living in monasteries avoiding the things they are afraid of but takes place inside by dealing with traditions and religious garb that clogs our thinking and our ability to “see him (now) as He is. Like the concept of Christ coming a second time to do something for you He hasn’t already done. “For you are complete in Him who is the head of all power and principality. And “He has given us everything that pertains to life and god-likeness through the knowledge of Him who calls us by glory and virtue”. (2nd Peter 1.3) So those who look for Christ to complete His work at an illusive 2nd coming so they can become like Him, are looking for something they already have, or I mean they could have if they did not abide in the sin of un-beleif. Like we read here…

John 3.6 Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

So as we see Him we shall be like Him, we see Him, we know Him, we put Him on. And this is much more than just putting on the armor of God like in Ephesians 6 which cloaks us from the world,, but we put on inner workings of God, His very anatomy, and we are renewed in the spirit, mind, heart and soul. Our invisibleness.

And this all takes place where? In front of the mirror.

2nd Corinthians 3.18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

You thought I was making this up. It is not at the second coming beyond a supposed rapture that you are transformed. That belief is a form of denying Christ.

The word “transform” come from the Greek “metamorphosis” and is used twice in scripture. At Christs transfiguration and our transfiguration in the mirror, as we just read. I don’t think the author (God) meant to separate this as being different. Meaning as Christ was transfigured or metamorphosed we too do the same. Where? In the here and now in the mirror of His word by His Spirit, “because as He is so are we in the world” (1st John 4.14) This is for us who believe. We have been quickened and we have been seated. You just need to learn to believe and put it on. This is about those of us whom the “world cannot see”.

2nd Corinthians 4.3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 6 For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

You get that? This face whom no man can see and live can see is seen “In the face of Jesus Christ”. Who said “he who has seen me has seen the Father” Meaning not a man with long hair dressed in a fitted sheet and sandles, but “he who has seen me” sees the invisible working of God” We see His anatomy and His invisible works with “unveiled face beholding (seeing) the Glory of the Lord (as He is) are being transformed from the glory to the glory. We see God in the face of Christ and are transformed into them, God and Christ by the Spirit. We are in Them, They are in us We are one in Them in Glory. This is our transfiguration. Not into a new carnality, but from the Glory to the Glory. And as the disciples said “Lord it is good for us to be here, let us make an altar here for you Moses and Elijah. There are no physical structures here for they all detain.

We turn into what we behold. If Jesus has to finish something for us at a second coming then He is not done. If He is not done, He is not Glorified. If He is not Glorified we cannot share in His glory till He is. If he is not glorified we cannot “behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” and there is no transformation apart from the glory that is why it is “from glory to glory” or “from the glory to the Glory, you become glorious through this transformation. If not you are still in your sins. You are blinded by the God of this age who would love to detain you. The transfiguration is in the here and now. We see Him as He truly is. We see Him face to face but not a carnal face. We want to transform from what we were to what He is. As Paul says that we don’t want to be found naked, (like those who wait), but to be further clothed in immortality. To Lay hold of why Christ laid hold of us. Eternal glory.

For we are not seen hiding ourselves with clothes of fabric or cloaked with degrees and diplomas of this age but clothed with the righteousness of Christ. Unlike the Levites who kept the temple, were clothed in a pure white that radiated, only having a form of holiness, we are clothed not in a white of radiance but the clear/ invisible to the carnal eye righteousness of Christ. We are clothed in Him because we see Him as He is only because we are in Him, we see Him as He is because we see from the inside out.

Romans 8.28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Where are you in this process? Are you waiting for the man Jesus to come and do this for you?
