Godliness means God-like-ness

Godliness means god-like-ness. The scriptures instructs us for godliness. This is putting Christ on. It is by our relationship with Him now that as we see Him and learn from Him it is like Him we become. It is from the power and the work of the cross in our lives that changes us and we become more godlike.

2 Timothy 3. says that “in the last days perilous times will come.” and that the people of the last times would “have a form of god-like-ness but deny the power of it. from such turn away”. These are those who suppose god-like-ness to be something they get when they see Jesus at a 2nd coming, but it is “He who is immortal, invisible, only wise God” who displays Himself to us now in His true nature, broken down in His various invisible attributes for our understanding and for our consumption. This is our bread of life that what we eat (spiritually) we become that comes down from heaven. We see him now by this and put Him on by faith and become more and more like Him. This is our transformation in the here and now. This is what the gospel is all about. This is the purpose of our sojourning here.

2 Peter says that “His divine nature has given us everything that pertains to life and god-like-ness through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue” now. That “through these promises we are partakers of the divine glory having escaped the corruption that is in the world”. This he writes of our current reality for those “in Christ”.

But it is the predominant gospel of the 21st century that teaches of a new creation in the future at the return of Jesus Christ for a transformation for us to be god-like. That message denies true god-like-ness which is now a fruit of the finished product of the work of Christ and the cross now in or lives. They succumb to the senses of their humanity and think, surely this is not now but to be seen later, but even Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5 that “that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, all things become new”. This is the gospel. The truth. The good news.

The gospel of another day for god-like-ness denies the power of the Christ of the cross and supposes another day of a future resurrection as the power of God of a 2nd  coming. This is another gospel and another Jesus and unfortunately the popular Jesus of our day, having a form of -like-ness but denying the power thereof”. But “Today is the day”.

This is where we are in our time spoken by Paul in 1 Timothy 3.13 “Evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse deceiving and being deceived”. And they have and they are. Godliness is a cliche, a pious act, a collection of religious duties. An exchange of truth for a lie. It is our carnal man that just loves the idea of a carnal Jesus to come to earth and save us then rule mankind as a man, and this will simply not do. You will have this man the son of  perdition sitting in a place called the temple of god proclaiming to be god. But you are the temple of God if His spirit dwells in you. Who is sitting on your throne? The Jesus of a second coming? Or the Christ of the cross?

Do you believe the Christ of the cross has the power to save you and transform you now? Or are you waiting for the Jesus of another day at a future coming has to come save you? Do we put on Christ now? Or at a 2nd coming? Is your Jesus now in His original state  being immortal and invisible? Or is your Jesus to be seen as a man to rule planet earth at some point in time?

Putting on Christ has never meant to be a physical thing. If it did then when Jesus said “He who has seen me has seen the Father” Then we would be able to fix our hair up like His and wear a robe and sandals, but it was Him who said “Tear this temple down and I will rebuild it in 3 days. They thought He meant the physical temple. Do you? He came in the flesh to reveal the invisible and will not become something of time and matter for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. The creator does not become the created.

This is the condemnation of those Paul wrote of in Romans 1.23 That they traded the truth for a lie “and changed the Glory of the incorruptible God into the image of a corruptible man. That is the portrayal of the 2nd coming Jesus man to save you later denies Him who now saves, but; “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”. And He did, He came.  And He is still saving and transforming today.

It is now that we become more and more god-like. This is true godliness and the continual work of Christ in our lives. The second coming doctrines, and they are many, are just illusions and distortions to keep you distracted. So yes, as Christ first stated “the kingdom of God is at hand.” And it still is. Why wait for another?

1st or 2nd coming Jesus?

Jesus Christ is no longer wrestling with sin or fighting against Satan. He is not strategizing or dispatching heavenly angels in a battle. He is seated waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool.

The cross was so absolutely crushing and defeating to all His enemies, foes and obstacles that He is now seated with the Father. It is He who blazed for us a path into the presence of the Father His enemies now are not Satan, sin or principalities for they were obliterated at the cross. (Hebrews 2.14) The only obstacle now is unbelief. People do not believe the gospel.

Christ said at the cross “it is finished” and it is. He saved, secured, and redeemed us. He delivered us from this wicked world and translated us into the Kingdom of His Son and has fully reconciled us to Himself through faith in Christ. And it is finished at the cross not left for a 2nd coming Jesus to do this. He is not coming back to wage a battle. He is already victorious or He could not be seated in all power and Glory.

There are 2 distinctly different Christ’s. The one who saves through the cross or the one who saves at a 2nd coming. One of these Christ’s is an impostor. If Jesus has yet an enemy to be defeated He is not victor and not glorified or seated.

The enemies of Christ now are doubts fears and unbelief of the carnal mind which is why the holy spirit was sent to;

John 16.8-10 “convict those in the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. Of sin because they do not believe in Me. Of righteousness because I go to the Father and you see Me no more. Of judgment because the ruler of this world is (already) judged.

You become transformed by the renewing of your mind by these truths in scripture, as you accept Gods word at face value and apply it by faith as being spiritual facts, that you believe these, that you receive the gospel, the good news that you receive your place “In Christ”

The same one who spoke the creation we experience now into existence in 6 days said words in the gospel to bring us into His presence as soon as you believe and receive the invitation. He who said “let there be light” and immediately there was light, also said something else more permanent. And it just is, because He said it. Jesus Christ is the word of God and another creation other than the one you have been common with.

We all identify with the 1st physical creation by a physical birth. It is by rebirth in Christ that you experience the new creation. Which is not new for it always was it is only new to you but it never fades or gets old for it is eternal.  And we experience this because of Christs work here on earth from the cross. It is not a product of a 2nd coming. And you do this by faith. Having faith “In Christ” puts you “In Christ” by spiritual birth. Faith is the invisible action which gives you access into the invisible creation.

So at Christs final coming when the mystery is complete and this old creation has served it’s purpose in raising up offspring of God to the fullness and stature of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4..) then time will cease (Rev 10.6), matter will be removed (Heb 12.28) elements of this age will dissolve (2 Peter 3..) So it can be said “He who is unjust let him be unjust still. He who is filthy let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him be righteous still. And he who is holy let him be holy still. (Rev 22.11)  What you have become here is what you always will be. What you have chosen and believed or disbelieved will be manifest. The gospel will expire, the invitation will be retracted and the age of transformation will be over. You are what you are and those who have not believed the gospel, those who have not judged themselves and passed from judgment to life through the gospel, those left who have not entered the “Kingdom at hand” by associating with Christs death and resurrection, will have to stand alone to be judged.

When what is now invisible is manifest, faith will be no more, for it will be undeniable. There will be no more reward for faith, because faith is not necessary, for all will see. And transformation will cease. The age for each to follow Christ and go through our own transfiguration will be over. For it is now in this age of faith and grace that “we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same full image from the glory to the glory, by the spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3.18)  This speaks not of a 2nd coming but in the here and now by the power that was displayed from the cross when Christ Jesus was elevated far above all powers and principalities, all enemies having been subjected to Him back then. Not a 2nd coming.

For to what you have attained in your sojourning here on earth, what you have received by faith will be your manifest reward. Like Daniel wrote 12.3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like
the stars forever”.

2 Peter 3.10-13 talks about this final day when the Lord that comes as a thief and wraps up this age, when this creation clashes with eternity “in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will burn with a fervent heat, both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up”  And if the earth and the works are burned up it is for the eternal unchangeable to remain. You cannot change then. But here you can through the gospel message salvation from the Christ of the cross.
The 2nd or last coming Jesus doesn’t offer grace and transformation to get you there which is why 2 Peter also says 3.14 Therefor brethren looking forward to these things be diligent to be found by Him in peace without spot and blameless. Why? Because “all things will be manifest for the day will declare it”.

So now is your time of transfiguration/transformation by the message of the cross that produces faith “In Christ”. A 2nd coming as a physical event cannot bring spiritual transformation, faith does. When the end of time and matter come, it will be a fact and not faith, and it is only by faith that we please God and our faith is why He rewards us. (Heb 11.6)

If you understand this message then you can see the danger and the peril for trading in the Christ of the cross for a 2nd coming Jesus to save you. These two are contrary to one another. The concept of a 2nd coming Jesus becoming a physical fact for humanity to see to believe Him, that they will see Him and be transformed, are ignoring Him who does that now. That concept spits in the face of Jesus on the cross and disrespects those who have believed Him throughout the ages.  You will see and believe? It is those who believe without seeing that are blessed with this.

It is second coming seekers who need to repent and believe Him who is from the beginning. Trade in him who is coming later to save you for Him who stands at the door and knocks now (Rev 3.20)  For if it is (a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign” then the second coming seeker message is the mother of all harlots. All the denominations that speak of another day for their Jesus to save them and transform them, deny the work of Christ at the cross who said “It is finished”. That is a message if possible to deceive the elect.

They know Him not by faith, but need facts. And with our transformation being a work of His spirit in this age by faith in the Christ of the cross, the enemy is anything that keeps us from our transformation now. Ephesians 4..to no longer be children tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men in cunning craftiness by which they lie in wait to deceive but speaking the truth in love, growing up in all things into Him who is the head. Till we all come to the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure and stature of the fullness of Christ.” in the here and now. “Today if you hear His voice!”
So where do you get from these verses that a 2nd coming has anything to do with Gods work in you now and your purpose for being here? Put on Christ now so you will not be found naked and ashamed.
However fascinating end time speculations may be, when is the rapture? How many resurrections are there? Are they building the temple yet? When will they start the sacrifices? Are they ready to set the cornerstone? These are all blind denials of what Jesus already did. And if you the reject what he already did then you reject the gift and count yourself unworthy. You make yourself an enemy of Christ. Especially if you are spewing this nonsense. You are making your converts twice the sons of hell as yourself. You are anti-christ
