God’s saving is The Cross, Or a 2nd Coming?

  It was John the Baptist who said of Christ “here comes the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world”. It was Christ who is the propitiation for the whole world. It is in Christ that all things are made new and need not do another another work to say so. Christ at the cross said “It is finished!” as if to say “paid in full!” Any other gospel message that comes short of taking away the sins of the world is incomplete. In the Book of John Jesus says to the Samaritan women “You worship what you do not know. We know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews“. And as believers it is this question that we have to ask ourselves. Do we know what we worship? And, Do we know what salvation is? Jesus here ties the two together. Worship and salvation. The importance of this is evident. If we do not know what salvation is, we cannot know what we worship.
