It is good to To Know Thine Enemy, however to do so only for our empowerment. You see God has given us tools to protect us from anything the enemies hurl our way. And it is not reserved for some illusive second coming. We learn to use them within our own spheres and to be on standby for the final call. Let’s be careful not to be motivated by fear for self preservation because those are the wrong instruments for the wrong purpose. By over thinking the enemy and making him bigger than he really is, plays into his plan of mass hysteria. He needs this because really he is just a puff of hot air.
We know the principal from scripture that “wherever two or more people are gathered in the name of Christ, there He is in their midst”. Well the opposite of that is true as well.
Whenever people rally behind the enemies doings, he is given power by the awe and wonder of people making him bigger than he really is. We are cautioned not to be concerned about his threats. He is a bag of hot air and he cannot derail Gods work and purpose in you unless you give in to him.
This can be to you what Esau’s red pottage was for him. The same old repetitions of tickeling your facination bone, but you not changing in spiritual stature. End times, last days fascinations put you in a holding cell of fear, waiting for Jesus to come and save you when He already did that. You just haven’t learned the empowerment of the knowledge, faith and the appropriation and power of His word and spirit in your life. It is called “The Rest of God” and “The Sabbath”. These have been the safety zones and our sanctification of the Holy Spirit for Gods people since the beginning of time. Especially if you think God has to do another work on your behalf. That maybe you are left to fend for yourself till God comes and gets you. You really don’t know the safety, the sanctification and power of Gods promises and Holy Spirit.
God said “I will never leave you or forsake you”. Meaning you are never left alone to be ravaged by the enemies.
Do not be afraid of their threats and always be ready to give them an answer for the hope of God that is in you.
Even as Isaiah 8 says ”
11 For the Lord spoke thus to me with [i]a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying:
12 “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’
Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy,
Nor be afraid of their [j]threats, nor be [k]troubled.
13 The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow;
Let Him be your fear,
And let Him be your dread.
14 He will be as a [l]sanctuary,
But a stone of stumbling and a rock of [m]offense.”
This is the posture of the Elect through all the fears the world sends our way. God has it covered. God has it taken care of, for us under His covering.
For those who don’t have this? Those scary presentations called news are meant to push you towards the Heavenly God and Father, or to cement people in to the false safety mechanisms of the God of this age. In truth you have to take one or the other by their promises.
That action requires the same amount of faith. Your choice, the gods of this age, being the rulers and powers and usurpers of authority, or The Creator God and the salvation and saving of the cross, given to all humanity past, present and future.
The Kingdom, rule, reign and power of God is at hand even now. Amen!
