Sayings about the Last Generation Jews.
It was John the Baptist who told both governing parties of the, “Pharisees and Sadducees (who had) come to his baptismal, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? John was equating the rulers and teachers of the Jews in that day as working for Satan. And John goes on to condemn them saying “And even now the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Speaking of their impending doom in that generation.
In essence John was telling them that their time was up, that they would be no more. That the wrath of God was looming and their replacement had come. Of which we know as the King of kings and The Lord of lords with that Coming of Christ with and in His Kingdom we know even is still with us today as “The Kingdom of God at hand”. For this is the Jews and their Jerusalem in that Israels unexpire-able eternal replacement.
We have this warning from John who said to the people “ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to loosen: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: As a means of supersession.
We then see that it was Christ who after John had baptized Him, went about inviting people to “The Kingdom of God at hand”. And He was NOT promoting THAT generation of Jews or their rendition of a kingdom for God, but theirs. That Christ had become “a new and living way to The Father (because the Old had failed), which he has consecrated for us, through the veil of His flesh; Through the Cross.
It was Christ who accomplished something that the Old Covenant/Testament and all its participants could NOT do. Even as He said to those Jews when they chided Him for being a king but not theirs. Christ replied “you have correctly called Me King, however My kingdom is not from here” thereby distancing Himself between that Jerusalem in that nation also saying “or I’d fight for it”
It was here that He drew a demarcation line between His Kingdom and their blasphemous, bastardized rendition they were expecting to be exonerated for? As though a Jerusalem on earth was important as they do again today?
Yes, we “know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews(again today), and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. “Of Satan” because they are renewing and revitalizing their rendition of that kingdom of old (old testament times) as though that was Gods favorite.
To which we say it is gods favorite but NOT the Creator God, but the god of this age as was the last Jerusalem from the time of Christ because it expired with “all of the law and the prophets (who) were ONLY till John the Baptist”. It was he who denounced them and who would introduce their replacement called the Christ of whom John baptized and said “this is the one who comes after me, who is greater than me, whose shoe laces I am not worthy to stoop to untie”. And “He who comes after me was preferred before me” because He was pre-existant.
These were all done so that “all things may be fulfilled”. Meaning filled to the full expectation of who Christ is, and the realization that the time of the Jews were emphatically over from that time on.
If Christ came in support of that generation of Jews kingdom, He would not have introduced another Kingdom.
So when Christ came to introduce “The Kingdom of God at hand”, He had to make it clear that He wasn’t talking about the Jews Jersalem but His. And if THAT Jerusalem with those Jews were pleasing to Him, then there would be no need for their replacement. But most people today don’t get that. We say that because they have bought into the idea that the modern Jews are doing a noble work by bringing back that dastardly place, but they are not. To take expired and fulfilled verses from the pages of scripture to repurpose and rebrand them for another coming christ, meaning a second coming One, spits in the face of the work Christ already clearly accomplished when “He became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory as the Only Begotten of the Father”. For Him to inturn say “Father I have finished the work you have given Me to do”. And make no mistake about it, He has nothing left to do but 2 Peter 3.10.
For you see, if the eternal Son of God had been pleased with those Jews and their Jerusalem in that day, it would’ve remained till this day. Why would Christ make a personal appearance and start with sayings like “you have heard it said of old, but I tell you…? Unless He was letting them know that the change had come and that He was taking over. “All the Law and the prophets were till John? Now the (replacement) Kingdom is preached and all are entering?”
Then He we to say “But I say unto you” to draw a contrast exposing the opposition. Christ brought in the antidote to what the Jews were peddling. We say peddling because they had industrialized the things of God for business. Meaning to generate revenue. That is why He first over threw the money changers in their rendition of a temple for God. It was them who were pilfering off the would be sacrificers subjected to the guilt they promoted by the law for profit. Which is another proof that it was an industry because it generated cash. But remember “you shall not worship (or serve) God and Mammon” meaning money, showing who the Jewish leaders served. The two don’t mix. But never the less they sold forgiveness’s for cash. “For wherever your treasure is there is your heart.
Here are a collection of other saying of Christ about that generation. Notice that not one of them was a compliment. We bring these to your attention so that when you try to equate the modern Jews with the Jews in the time of Christ? You are right. And you are right because they are both blasphemous. But this final era of the Jews in our day is even worse because the last Jews in the time of Christ because the Jews today, and the portion of Christianity that follow them, are Hell bent and bound for condemnation because the person they call Jesus Christ, did not leave them a good reference for the Jews of old for the modern Jews and Christians to seek to return to that era. That “ none were righteous, no not one? And “you brood of vipers, sons of Satan?
And you may think that some were. But here is an Old Testament verse that Paul drew upon to make the same point that “10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” 13 “Their throat is an open [a]tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; 14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known.” 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
Hmm! Sounds like the Jews again in our day. We know that the law was given to expose their sin, not to exonerate any of them for if the Law did, there would be no need for The New Covenant. The New came because of their failure. But today? Many have reverted to the old covenant mindset who anticipate a coming King as they did of old, and a coming Christ of things that have already happened, showing their ignorance and their blatant disregard for the cross of Christ who became the one and only true sacrifice, fulfilling all sacrifices to negate the need of any others EVER. Hence the fulfillment and uselessness of the bygone age. They were looking for a King but rejected Him. They are looking again today but this time it is “9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion (yes God gave this to the wayward souls who rejected the One who already came for another they call a second coming), that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
As for us who are hearing in these days? We keep our distance from the representation of the Old, because we know that is the trap. Yes, it is a trap for a wayward people who have believed in such a blasphemous rendition of scripture to have forgotten the purpose and meaning of the Gospel to where the the New Will and Testament, with all its goods have been forgotten. You cannot incorporate two “Will and Testaments”. Because one gendered death through multiple sacrifices. But the replacement sacrifice of the Only Begotten of the Father gendered life because He was a one time sufficient price that was paid in full for all time and eternity. John 3.16. For people today to turn and go back to the Old Testament place offices, feats and sacrifices with this in mind is, blasphemous. It is NOT okay, it is NOT cute, it is NOT cute, funny or tolerable
That is why some were commended in the Revelation that said “ I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
This is the ultimate blasphemy and the test of time showing that the Gospel message of the cross of the Only Begotten of the Father has returned to the days of Christ and run its course and it too is ready to expire along with the salvation message. Even as we read again in the revelation of “the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Tes, in the Revelation of Christ, it refers to Jerusalem on earth as both Sodom and Egypt, Let that sink in.
Yes, Jerusalem of old became blasphemous, and with that fact being established, how much more today will the wrath of God come pounding down on these deceivers. But the deceivers are not the enemy. The believers of the lies are. The deceivers are empowered by those who are deceived for you see, it is the power God gives to humanity, that resurrect and empower the old enemy and Satan who “must be released one more time to deceive the people of earth one more time. But God didn’y let Him out. Fallen humanity did through fear, they brought back to life their old foe. God gave us Christ for us to be re-empowered for godliness and humanity lazily resurrected, and rise to the occasion of one last deception. You have been warned!!!
And they call it “a second coming”, a phrase not found once in scripture. So we say again in our day “9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that can save them (The Christ of The Cross). 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion (a second coming savior to save by rapture in competition with The Savior of The Cross), that they should believe a lie: 12 That they may all be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in(thee) unrighteousness (of a fairy tale of fallen fairys.
